UA Steele gets donation from Rincon Chapter of OIG

After a successful fundraising night last month, at the Forty Niner Country Club, the Rincon Chapter of the Optimist International Group (OIG) makes their donation to local pediatric cancer research program.

UA Steele Children's Research Center was the proud recipient of $1,500 from OIG after their 'Casino Night and Silent Auction' that was part of the OIG's annual Childhood Cancer Campaign.

Bill providing tax breaks for long-term health care costs becomes law

The following is a news release from the Arizona Legislature

Assistant Minority Leader Steve Farley’s, D-Tucson (District 28), bill to provide tax breaks for middle-class families paying for long-term health care is now law. Gov. Jan Brewer signed the bill Monday and it will go into effect the beginning of August.

New Project Dedicated at Tech Park Solar Zone

A 38.5-acre photovoltaic array is the latest addition to the Solar Zone technology demonstration area at the UA Science and Technology Park. The 6.1-megawatt system was built by AstroSol, which expects the project to displace more than 7,700 metric tons of carbon dioxide and provide power for about 1,000 homes... Read More
