Update on early morning I-10 accident | News

Traffic has once again returned to normal on I-10 on the far east side of Tucson.Pending a further investigation, officials are now reporting that the initial vehicle in the accident was traveling on the eastbound lanes when the driver unexpectedly lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle travelled across the median, overturning and landing on the westbound lanes, in the process.  No one was ejected from the vehicle as reported earlier, though.  There were two people, a man and an infant that were airlifted to UMC for reported injuries.  There is no update on their status at this time.

Traffic was restricted in both directions earlier, but has since returned to normal. Stay tuned to Tucson News Now at noon for possible updates on this accident.
