Don't forget to register to vote - 3 days to deadline

There are only 3 days left before the May 14 deadline to vote in the CD8 special election in June!

The Pima County Recorder, F. Ann Rodriguez would like to remind everyone that the deadline for registration is midnight on May 14.

A new voter registration form must be filled out and turned in (mailed, etc.) by anyone who has moved since the last election, even if its just to another apartment in the same complex.  New voters must register if they have moved into the Pima County area, or would like to change their party affiliation, or have changed their name.

Just a quick reminder, only those who reside in Congressional District 8 are eligible to vote in this special election.

You can pick up forms at the Pima County Recorder’s office, any Arizona Department of Motor Vehicle branch, all post offices and libraries, political party headquarters, and city/town halls.

If you don't have the time to stop by one of these locations there is always logging on to the Recorder’s office web site at www.recorder.pima.gov  and download a form to complete and mail in.  You can even register to vote online at the Motor Vehicle Division website by clicking on the link called "EZVOTER", or logging on to the site directly at www.servicearizona.com.

For more information, or to confirm if you are registered to vote, call the Pima County Recorder’s office at 724-4330. Out-of-town residents may call 1-800-775-7462 and ask for extension 4330.
